In light of this, I describe my life ministry in terms of these five faith priorities: 

Jesus centered 

I believe in the centrality of the gospel, the good news of Jesus—His perfect life, his sacrificial death on the cross for sinners, and His bodily resurrection. I believe it is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone that we are forgiven and saved. I believe in the importance of sharing this good news and calling people to faith in Christ. 

Scripture-based 

I believe the Bible is the written Word of God and is, therefore, the basis for everything we believe and do. I believe in the importance of teaching all of the Bible within my life ministry, and that it is through learning and putting the Bible into practice that we mature as followers of Jesus. 

Spirit-empowered 

I welcome the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit, believing that as followers of Jesus we share in the life of God through the Spirit. We, therefore, live expectantly, inviting the Spirit’s work through all the gifts the Bible speaks of, including miracles, prophecy, and physical healing. 

Culturally diverse 

I believe as a ministry on earth is to be an expression of the Kingdom of God in heaven (Revelation 7:9)—people from every nation, tribe, people, and language reconciled and united in Christ. I welcome all and am therefore deeply committed to racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity. 

Socially engaged 

I believe we are called to go out into the world and be engaged in the world around us as “salt and light,” expressing the love of God through good works such as providing for those in need, defending the weak, and working for justice.
